Abigail Gordon was a beautiful and strong minded woman who was a great gardener. She settled at Garston while earlier times had seen her living in a tent during gold mining days near Alexandra.

Compact, shapely form. 2x2m.
Exhibits occasional yellow leaves.
Pink flowers in mid spring.
Dark wine coloured fruit are concealed within the bush.
Uses
Garden, landscaping, revegetation.
Cut foliage for flower arranging.
Position
Open site or semi –shade.
Well-drained medium soils.
Pollination
May require male for good berry production e.g. Aristotelia “Kingsley Butler”
Care
May be pruned if desired.
